Greetings my fellow Throwers I am Baron Perote Campbell, the Thrown Weapons Scorekeeper. I will be your faithful servant in keeping this site up to date along with the creator of this wonderful site Sir Jonathas. If you believe your score is incorrect please search your name and check all of the scores submitted and the dates, sometimes the scores you were counting on are now over 12 months old.
Please also check the inactive table if you have not thrown in the last 12 months. If you have thrown Royal Rounds within the last year, please contact the Thrown Weapons Marshal who was in charge and find out if they will submit the scores. They can submit the scores online, by e-mail or by regular "snail" mail.

If your name appears without the SCA Name, a Mundane Name, a Group, a Bow Type, or is spelled incorrectly, please let me know so I can make corrections. If you are an Thrower in Aethelmearc, and your name is not on this list, please contact me at the e-mail address above.

How do I participate?
Go to an event that has Thrown Weapons, and record in a Royal Round. Ask the Thrown Weapons Marshal if they intend on reporting the results (see below). Local practices whose schedules are published in a group newsletter count as official.

For more information about the Society, please look at the SCA Homepage. For more information about the Kingdom of Aethelmearc, please look at the Kingdom of Aethelmearc Homepage.

What's a Royal Round?
An AEthelmearc Royal Round consists of four ends:
  • Close Axe - 4 axe throws from behind the 10-foot line and before the 20-foot line.
  • Far Axe - 2 axe throws from behind the 20-foot line.
  • Close Knife - 4 knife throws from behind the 10-foot line and before the 20-foot line.
  • Far Knife - 2 knife throws from behind the 20-foot line.
The target and scoring for a AEthelmearc Royal Round will consist of three concentric circles with the following values:
  • 3-inch circle of red equal to 10 points.
  • 8-inch circle of blue equal to 7 points.
  • 14-inch circle of white equal to 4 points.
  • Outside of the 14-inch circle equal to 1 point.
A Standard Royal Round consists of two ends (separate rounds for Axe, Knife and Spear):
This is the Royal Round that has been standardized among most of the Known World.
  • Close weapon -5 throws from behind the 10-foot line and before the 20-foot line.
  • Far Weapon - 5 throws from behind the 20-foot line.
The target and scoring for a Standard Royal Round will consist of three concentric circles with the following values:
  • 3-inch circle of red equal to 5 points.
  • 8-inch circle of blue equal to 3 points.
  • 14-inch circle of white equal to 1 points.

How are the standings calculated?
The database averages the highest score from each of three days, per thrower recorded in the last twelve months. The tables are updated daily with new scores and removing outdated scores.

How to submit scores?
If you have scores to report, please either:
  1. Update them through the marshals page (if you are a marshal with score keeping authority)
  2. Send them to Baron Perote Campbell
  3. Mail them to my address

Please include information below if emailed or snail mailed:
  • The name and date of the event the throw was held at
  • The name of the marshal overseeing the shoot and the marshal's SCA number
  • Each thrower's Society name, modern name, and Society group
  • Each thrower's scores from each end, and the total score in the Royal Round

Any questions, comments, or corrections, please contact me, or the Deputy Earl Marshal for Thrown Weapons Baroness Anastasie deLamoure.
