Grand Archery Tournament Shoot with a difficulty rating of: Handbow:19.95 |
Description |
Shoot created and run by Forester Diccon, North Oaken Regional Archery Marshal
As the primary uses of archery in period were for warfare and hunting there will be a shoot focused on each to find a well-rounded archer to represent our region. For warfare you will be shooting through castle windows, for hunting you will be shooting at a moving animal target.
Castle Window
Archers will shoot two ends of six arrows or bolts each, untimed, at a castle window located between 25 and 35 yards. The castle window will be at least 8 inches wide and 36 inches tall. There will be an object inside the castle window. Scoring will be as follows: 1 point for each arrow or bolt inside the castle window, 2 points for each arrow or bolt inside the object in the castle window.
Large Rodent Hunt
Archers will shoot 2 ends of as many arrows as they can at a moving large rodent located between 15 and 25 yards. The target will be sheltered at the beginning and the end of the run. If the rodent is pinned during the run, a hold will be called and the pinning arrow scored and removed, then the run will resume. Scoring will be as follows: 1 point for each arrow or bolt in the target, 3 points for each arrow or bolt in an eye. |
