Grand Archery Tournament Shoot with a difficulty rating of: Handbow:19.66 |
Description |
While invented in the 1800`s the name coined by its Scottish inventor David Brewster, `KALEIDOSCOPE` is derived from the Ancient Greek word καλός (kalos - beautiful, beauty), εἶδος (eidos - that which is seen: form, shape) and σκοπέω (skopeō - to look to, to examine), hence “OBSERVATION OF BEAUTIFUL FORMS”. A beautifully simple yet complex shoot and a history lesson!
10 Targets at various distances plus 2 speed rounds, one at 20yds another at 30yds.
All targets are circular. A triangle split into thirds and circumscribed by a circle. Each of the spaces is painted in the colors of the royal round, plus green. Scoring 1,2,3,4,5 and the green is 0, unless your skill is Archer level (40 average RR) or above in which case it is -1.
Gold by Green, Red alongside White, Black against Blue = Risk vs Reward.
Three Arrows at each target including the 15 second timed rounds.
Surprisingly, the consensus was `it was a lot of shooting`. |
