| Description |
This year`s theme was Fox Hunt. All the targets had a hunting theme. We started with a long shoot at a stag target and small stuffed animals on sticks at various distances. We then split into groups and rotated around novelty targets, Fox Tail Wand Shoot, Running Fox (moving), Spinning Fox & Hounds(moving, negative points for hitting hounds), Leaping Fox (moving), Bear Through the Trees (pool noodle forest), Fox in the Hole. Combat Hunt (shooting armored people with combat bolts) was cancelled due to 100+ degree weather. Prizes were given for over-all winner and for the winners of each target. We sold `Mulligans`, a chance to redo the score for an entire target. Max 3 per archer.
The event was held at a private ranch in Cloverdale, California. There were games, a culinary contest (something with berries - won by Rose) and pot-luck Feast after the shoot. |
