Rules:
The Loch Salann Winter Archery Challenge is being issued by the archers of the Barony of Loch Salann to all the archers within the Kingdom of Artemisia as a group.
The Challenge shall run from October 1, 2009 until May 1, 2010 and is open to all archers within the Kingdom of Artemisia who wish to participate. The Challenge shall consist of four ends described below, which must be shot from beginning to end without benefit of any practice arrows between ends. More than one shoot may be shot per day, however, only one score per day per archer may be submitted for purposes of ranking in the challenge, and all ends of each previous challenge on that day must have been completed prior to starting another shoot. All scores must be shot at an offical event or scheduled practice to be considered.

Target:40 cm. Standard FITA 5 Ring Target
Scoring:Standard Scoring 1 - 5
Distance:20 Yards
Flights:6 Arrows
End Number Two:
Target:40 cm. Standard FITA 5 Ring Target
Scoring:Standard Scoring 1 - 5
Distance:15 Yards
Flights:Timed 30 Seconds
End Number Three:
Target:40 cm. Standard FITA 5 Ring Target
Scoring:Standard Scoring 1 - 5
Distance:20 Yards - 15 Yards - 10 Yards
Flights:2 Arrows Each at the above distances
End Number Four:
Target:Arrow Slit - Three 2" Vertical Strips
Scoring:Outer Strips - 3 points; Inner Strip - 5 points
Distance:20 Yards
Flights:6 Arrows
The winner of the Challenge will be determined at the end of the season by adding together the ten highest scores from the archers of the Barony of Loch Salann and comparing that against the ten highest scores from the rest of the Kingdom of Artemisia.
Current standings will be published on the Artemisia Archery Yahoo Group on at
least a monthly basis so everyone can see how the challenge is progressing.
All scores to be considered for inclusion in the challenge should be submitted to Bjorn Hrafnsen Ohnstad, Captain of Archers, Barony of Loch Salann.
