It`s 12th night and the Lord of Misrule reigns over the Archery butts!
If you are new to the Society, new to archery and if you are still seeking your place in the archery community, if you want to try something completely different and out of your comfort zone, this shoot is for you!
Join us, for the Shoot of Fools!
During this time of revelry in medieval times, the social order would be disrupted, and a peasant made king for a day. This fun tradition was frowned on by the Church, as it had its roots in ancient Rome, the festival of Saturnalia. Loaner gear and coaching assistance will be available.
So how does disruption of the social order happen in an archery shoot?
If you are a grandmaster ranked archer -10
If you are a currently ranked Master bowman -8
If you are an Archos – 10
If you are an Archos and a grandmaster – 15
If you are an Arcarus and currently ranked Master Bowman -10
If you are an unranked Arcarius or Bowman and lower -5
If you are a former or current archery champion at the Kingdom or Baronial level - 5
Every other archer starts with 5 points.
The targets will be based on images found in the Luttrel Psalter and there will be no timed end element to the shoot.
