Repeat Proposed Shoot May be considered for repeat beginning with Fall 2023 Qualified Seasons: Summer - Fall Please note that the scoring has been tweaked a little since the last time this was run This shoot is a twist of a Royal Round. The original was done at an Atlantian event designed by Tristan di Lupo from Sacred Stone. In his the yellow dot was in the center with four of each color arranged around it working out just like the standard FITA target. This shoot uses the same concept, but rearranges it so that the dots will fit on a standard 36" circular target backer. Please read the SSAC General Rules, as these apply to all SSAC shoots. Below are the additional rules for this specific shoot. Target: This shoot discs that are similar in size to the standard 60cm FITA target, only adjusted for ease of creation. In the center of the target is a single blue disc that is 14" diameter. Placed vertically and horizontally around it are four red discs that are 8" diameter, these are place with a 1/2" gap between the discs. Placed at the diagonals from the blue disc and between the red discs are four yellow discs that are 4" in diameter, these are spaced roughly equally distant from the red and blue discs.
Ranges: Just to change things up this is shot at 25, 35, and 45 yards, with a 45 sec timed round at 25 yards. Youth Ranges: 15, 25, 35, timed at 15. Scoring: The scoring is the same as a Royal Round; yellow=5, red=4, blue=3. Repeat hits=1. Misses=0. Running the Shoot: Just like your standard Royal Round, you have six arrows for each of the static rounds. The timed round is for 45 seconds. HOWEVER, to encourage you to hit different discs only the first hit to a disc scores the full value, any repeat hits to a the same disc only count as 1 point, until you have hit all of the discs an equal number of times. This becomes a risk vs reward puzzle, you must evaluate your own skill level to maximize your score. Scoring Examples: 1) During the timed round the blue is hit three times, one of the reds is hit twice the others are hit once, all the yellows are hit once. Scoring: As all the discs are hit at least once, any first and second arrow in a given disc counts for full value, any third or more only counts as one. Yellow = 20 (4 hits x 5 pts), Red = 20 ( 5 hits x 4 pts), Blue = 7 (2 hits x 3pts plus 1 hit x 1 pt), Total = 47 2) During the static round, one of the reds is hit twice and the blue is hit four times. Scoring: As all of the discs are not hit, only the first arrow on a disc counts as full value. Yellow = 0 (0 hits), Red = 5 (1 hit x 4 pts plus 1 hit x 1 pt), Blue = 6 (1 hit x 3 pts plus 3 hits x 1 pt), Total = 11 This shoot was suggested by: Tristan di Lupo from Sacred Stone in Atlantia, for questions contact:Master Jonathas
